Redken and Pureology announced Christine Schuster has accepted a newly created role as the Sr. Vice President, Education, L’Oreal Professional Products Division U.S. In her new role, Christine will be responsible for the long-term strategic development of the company's education strategy for all PPD brands and SalonCentric. She will also work with each brand and SalonCentric on the day to day management of the education department. Christine will report directly to Pat Parenty, President Professional Products Division.

A legal settlement was announced on January 30 in a California court against the company that makes the Brazilian Blowout product. The manufacturers of Brazilian Blowout and Acai Professional Smoothing Solution must cease deceptive advertising practices and put caution stickers on their products advising users that the product releases formaldehyde gas, according to the settlement agreement with California Attorney General Kamala Harris’s office.
